New world old world

The mere mention of secret world governments, The Bilderberg or Illuminati causes eyes to roll and ears to rapidly erode. Confined to the concepts of conspiracy theorists and the well thumbed pages of a David Ike book, many, despite the state of world politics, are intrigued by the idea but not completely sold on its existence.worl gov

Conspiracy theories about secret world governments have been around for a very long time, perhaps since before the evolution of modern politics and the formation of Governments themselves.

The Majestic 12, The Hidden Hand, Aliens, The Jesuits, The Masons, The Jews, and many more have all been the subject of theories about secret attempts to take over the world. Even before democracy stepped into the world, the Royal houses of Europe were said to be waging a war to take over the known world and beyond.secret gov.jpg

If colonialism takes power in the name of history, it repeatedly exercises its authority through the figures of farce. For the epic intention of the civilizing mission, “human and not wholly human” in the famous words of Lord Rosebery, “writ by the finger of the Divine” 1 often produces a text rich in the traditions of trompe l’oeil, irony, mimicry, and repetition. Sir Edward Gust, 1839

Often, in times of great change, there arises such theories. So and So are taking over the world. Communists, Islamists, Christians, Jews. The filthy rich, the revolting poor. There has been propaganda spread about many and every sect of society in what can only be described as a wave of Machiavellian mayhem. Is there smoke without fire? Is there any truth within any of it?

Propaganda gets a bad name. The fact you have raised an eyebrow suggests that the word has distasteful connotations. Yet, every advert, every appeal for something, on social media, Television or Radio, billboards, magazines, newspapers, are all propaganda.

Edward Bernay, the Nephew of Sigmund Freud and author of the 1928 book, Propaganda, is known as the father of public relations. Public relations are within themselves, nothing more than propaganda. prop.jpg

Perhaps Bernays book speaks more truth about the new world order than it gets credit for. Written at a time of great change, Bernay asserts that if one wants to influence the masses en-mass, then one must influence the influencers.

We are governed, our minds are moulded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society.

Bernays explains the difficulty in living in a world or society that caters for all. We are dominated by a minority, with our permission, in a world that believes the majority holds sway over public opinion. “Whatever attitude one chooses to take toward this condition, it remains a fact that in almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind, who harness old social forces and contrive new ways to bind and guide the world.”. influenceIf we think about it, we elect politicians to represent us, the people. A group of people who are influenced by lobbyists, big business and other influential factors. A group who often then convince the majority that their actions are for the greater good of society. A group who are influenced.

How does it all work? On a political level, in theory, a person can vote for who ever they please. In practice however, think about how messy that would be. “Without organization and direction their individual votes, cast, perhaps, for dozens or hundreds of candidates, would produce nothing but confusion. Invisible government, in the shape of rudimentary political parties, arose almost overnight.” Had this not been the case, we might find that our governments would be nothing more than a chaotic ramble, even more so than it is now. We have agreed and given consent that we should be presented with a narrow field of political candidates from which we make our choice. Non of whom may actually serve our deep felt, convictions, we just choose those who represent us the most. And in doing so, the majority freely and willingly give their power to the minority to make decisions and choices on our behalf. How do such a minority convince the majority though?

Bernay wrote a blue print in 1928 that influenced not only political campaigns but also took advertising and marketing into the realms of consumerism. Gobels and the Nazi party used Bernays blue print, much to his horror.

They were using my books as the basis for a destructive campaign against the Jews of Germany. This shocked me, but I knew any human activity can be used for social purposes or misused for antisocial ones. Bernays on the use of his book by Goebbels

“In theory, every citizen makes up his mind on public questions and matters of private conduct. In practice, if all men had to study for themselves the abstruse economic, political, and ethical data involved in every question, they would find it impossible to come to a conclusion about anything. We have voluntarily agreed to let an invisible government sift the data and high-spot the outstanding issues so that our field of choice shall be narrowed to practical proportions. From our leaders and the media they use to reach the public, we accept the evidence and the demarcation of issues bearing upon public questions; from some ethical teacher, be it a minister, a favourite essayist, or merely prevailing opinion, we accept a standardized code of social conduct to which we conform most of the time.” countIn theory, each of us buys a product or service in the same way. For example, if each of us went around pricing, chemically testing, every brand of soap or bread on the market, we would soon find ourselves in a bit of a bind. So, we have given our consent to have this done for us and brought to us over every possible medium there is. It makes life simple. This is Bernays legacy.

“We must find a way to make free competition function with reasonable smoothness. To achieve this society has consented to permit free competition to be organized by leadership and propaganda.”

Yeah, but that’s no secret world government, I hear you cry……… Bernays had worked out that if you influence the influencers you can sway the masses. In our societal life, people move in all sorts of circles. When you reach those that have the most influence within the most circles, you in fact are reaching many, many more. In simpler times life was contained in the village mentality.circles.jpg Those that left the village and returned with that which was hip in far off flung places were soon thought of as influencers. Sir Walter Raleigh, for example brought us delightful gifts from the corners of the globe, such as tobacco, a delight that has swept through society ever since while making millions for the tobacco lords. Who decided that it was important to be able to smoke?

Who determines what public opinion is, the public? Who decides the next years colours for fashion, designers? It pays to influence the right people. Influence designers and you influence the whole fashion world.

Times have indeed changed though. Those in positions of influence are only too aware of their power. In terms of Bilderberg, we have a whole collective of influencers meeting in secret. Heads of industry and commerce, heads of Government, heads of banking, media moguls and more. If the influencers wanted more power, then collaborating would give them it.

Say, for example, you wanted to experiment on humans, for what ever reason. The public would need to be primed to allow that public opinion would be OK with that. Governments would need to put policy in place to protect public interest. Media would have to present the ideas as being acceptable to society. Industry would have to put forward the benefits for society as a whole and banking would have to sell it as a worthwhile investment. shadow1aThat’s a lot of people to influence, unless of course they are all together in one group, in which case, you would only need influence one or two people. “Whatever of social importance is done to-day, whether in politics, finance, manufacture, agriculture, charity, education, or other fields, must be done with the help of propaganda. Propaganda is the executive arm of the invisible government.”

Once he could read and write he would have a mind fit to rule. So ran the democratic doctrine. But instead of a mind, universal literacy has given him rubber stamps, rubber stamps inked with advertising slogans, with editorials, with published scientific data, with the trivialities of the tabloids and the platitudes of history, but quite innocent of original thought. Each man’s rubber stamps are the duplicates of millions of others, so that when those millions are exposed to the same stimuli, all receive identical imprints.

WHO are those who, without our realizing it, give us our ideas, tell us whom to admire and whom to despise, what to believe about the ownership of public utilities, about the tariff, about the price of rubber, about the Dawes Plan, about immigration; who tell us how our houses should be designed, what furniture we should put into them, what menus we should serve on our table, what kind of shirts we must wear, what sports we should indulge in, what plays we should see, what charities we should support, what pictures we should admire, what slang we should affect, what jokes we should laugh at? That list would be endless of course. Who influences these people? “A presidential candidate may be “drafted” in response to “overwhelming popular demand,” but it is well-known that his name may be decided upon by half a dozen men sitting around a table in a hotel room.”

You see, the secret world government isn’t what you might think.shadow It has no inner cabinet, no ministers and is not accountable to anyone. Yet, in its minority, it decides the life of the majority. If you closely look, you can see it at work. The next time you see something endorsed by some society, government department or some association, stop and think. The next time you hear some world leader talking about this or that threat to world peace, stop and think. The new world order isn’t ordered the same as the old one. Those that influence the influencers have had 90 years or so to perfect their strategy, including world governments, public opinion and the unfolding world.
